John Reed, CPA
John Reed, CPA received his Bachelor's Degree from
the University of Maryland and his Master's Degree in
Accounting from NOVA University in Fort Lauderdale.
John has been consulting in the area of technology
since 1984, and became the first Great Plains Qualified
Installer in the Southwest Florida area in 1989. He
has personally been involved in over 500 computer installations.
John formed Accounting Software Consultants, Inc. (ASC)
and became a Value Added Reseller for Geac in 1995.
ASC became a Microsoft Great Plains Value Added Reseller
in 1996.
Besides being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed
in Florida, John has earned Microsoft Business Solutions
certifications in Great Plains Installation and Configuration,
Great Plains Financials, Microsoft Small Business Financials,
QuickSell 2000, Microsoft Retail Management System Store
Operations, and Microsoft Retail Management System Headquarters;
and Geac Commercial Systems certifications in StarBuilder
and The Construction Manager.
John was honored by the Florida Institute of Certified
Public Accountants (FICPA) as its nominee for American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, (AICPA) 1997
Innovative User of Technology Award and received a certificate
of achievement from the AICPA that year.
He has earned a Certificate of Educational Achievement
in Tax Planning and Advising for Closely-Held Businesses
from the AICPA. John also has received the professional
designation of Certified Specialist in Estate Planning
TM from The National Institution for Excellence in Professional
Education, LLC.
John is a member of the FICPA's Construction Industry
Conference (since 1999) and Editorial Committees (since
2000). He previously has been on the FICPA's Microcomputer
Committee, their Communications and Technology Task
Force and the AICPA's Computer Applications Subcommittee.
John has served in the past as chair of both the FICPA
Technology Conference Committee and the CPA NetLink
Advisory Committee for the FICPA web site.
Currently, John is a member of the Lee County (Florida)
Building Industry Association. He is the past Church
Counsel President and current Treasurer of the Branch
of Life Christian Fellowship in Cape Coral. |
